Specially designed futon-style beds provide natural therapeutic support for elderly and arthritic pets. The inner cushion has a layer of kapok (a pesticide-free, environmentally friendly alternative to cotton) on the bottom which is sewn into individual channels. On top of the kapok is a layer of buckwheat hulls, grown in the US and pesticide-free/hypoallergenic, which provide firm support to your pet. The buckwheat hulls move freely within the inner liner to allow the pet to move them around and create their own ‘nest’. Plus, buckwheat hulls allow air to flow through the bed keeping your pet cool and dry, and unlike traditional foam or cedar filling, will last for years without clumping or breakdown.

Added to the buckwheat filling are lavender, chamomile and peppermint. The peppermint serves as a pest repellent while lavender and chamomile are both soothing agents. The herbs help to calm the pet, repel fleas, and give the bed a fresh scent.

The removable outer covers are made from durable eco-friendly fabrics like hemp and organic cotton. The covers are easily zipped off and are machine-washable. The hemp fabric actually softens with each washing! The inner liner is made from 100% cotton flannel.

Available in three sizes: small (18” x 24”), medium (24” x 36”) and large (30” x 40”). All sizes are standard crate sizes.
